Article author: mgr Aneta Świderska - Dyrektor, Opiekun, Lektor

In brief
At the kindergarten, English is taught every day by a teacher in every age group, and it is included in the tuition. At the nursery, it appears in everyday play led by carers who are also English teachers. We learn through play and action, not through exams. The aim is for children to enjoy the language.
How much English is there at the kindergarten?
English is part of every day for kindergarten children. A teacher leads the classes in every age group, and children start learning from 2.5 years old.
Classes are included in the tuition, so there is no separate charge. Their place in the day depends on the group and the day of the week. You can see a typical day on the kindergarten daily schedule.
How do children learn English?
We learn through play and action. Children name in English what they play with, what they eat and what they do during the day. This helps them remember words in situations they already know well.
At the nursery, English appears in everyday play led by carers who are also English teachers. They encourage the children to join in activities in English. You can read more on the nursery activities page.

How to help your child at home
Name things in English
Say what your child sees in English, for example “ball”, “dog” or “red”. Single words are enough.
Sing together
Short songs and rhymes are easy to remember, and children like to come back to them.
Let them listen first
A child understands first and speaks later. Do not insist on repetition or perfect pronunciation.
Praise every attempt
Even a single word is a good reason to praise. This makes your child more willing to use the language.
