NurseryWhat does settling in at the nursery look like?Settling in means getting used to a new place, a new group and new carers, step by step. In our nursery, children have the same carers in two small groups, and each child joins activities at their own pace. Before the first day, talk to the carers, agree how the first days will go and keep goodbyes calm and short.
For parentsWhat should I bring to nursery and kindergarten?Bring spare clothes, spare shoes, clothing suited to the weather and items labelled with your child’s name. Meals are provided during the day, so you usually do not need to bring food from home. Before the first day, ask us what the group needs, as requirements depend on age and group.
EnglishEnglish at kindergarten: how much and how do children learn? At the kindergarten, English is taught every day by a teacher in every age group, and it is included in the tuition. At the nursery, it appears in everyday play led by carers who are also English teachers. We learn through play and action, not through exams. The aim is for children to enjoy the language.
